Sea Goddess Body Mask - Herbal Spa Body Treatments

Body Masks and Wraps

Body masks and wraps are typically used for detoxification. Most people shy away from making body masks at home, but there are some tricks to keeping the mess down. To do this, line a clean bath tub with some large old bath towels or blanket. Place a cheap plastic tarp or shower curtain over the towels. Apply the mask to the body. Lie on top of the plastic in the tub and relax. If you want the wrap effect or are worried about a chill, fold the plastic in around you. You can even throw a towel over the top of the plastic. When finished remove the towels from the tub and rinse yourself and the plastic off.

Sea Goddess Body Mask

1 cup French green clay
1 cup kelp powder
¼ cup dendritic salt
30 drops Lemongrass essential oil
10 drops Rosemary essential oil

Add essential oils to dendritic salt and blend well. Add clay and kelp and mix. Place in jars or tins. This recipe stays dry until it is ready to be used. Place ½ to 1 cup of dry mixture in a bowl. Mix just enough water to form a paste. Spread the paste over body in an upward sweeping motion and leave on for 30 minutes while resting in the prepared tub. Rinse with warm water. Hydrosols or very light oil such as sweet almond oil can be used in place of the water.

While nothing can compare to relaxing in a spa while licensed experts treat your body with every indulgence under the sun, you can create great herbal spa treatments for the home enthusiast looking for a less expensive alternative while obtaining nutrient enriched treatments for excellent skin care and health.
