Introducing Bath Alchemy Lab and Other Great Changes

I've been pretty quiet on my blog for over a month now, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy.  When I got back from my trip to Atlanta, I got to work on a number of big business moves.

First I incorporated as Pence Enterprises, Inc.  I now run The Bonnie Bath Co. under the new corporation.  It's something I haven't really needed to do so far, but I decided that I want to move my business from a part time hobby to a full time career.  I am back to selling at large arts and crafts venues, which I stopped doing for awhile.  Like many of you, I will be super busy getting stocked up for the fall shows.  And I am getting my products into some local boutiques as well.

This led to opening another phase of my business - teaching classes.  I am a former teacher so being in a classroom is second nature.  I also have been a columnist for the Saponifier Magazine for over 3 years now, writing articles, tutorials, and recipes.  I have taught some soap classes in Florida but only here and there for groups that would ask me.  Since I have had a year to get settled in NC, I finally made the leap to teaching classes regularly as part of my business and officially opened Bath Alchemy Lab, also under my new corporation.

For the last month, I have been working on the beginnings of my website, putting together materials and advertising locally.  So, for those of you interested, I invite you to check out my website for soap, bath and body, and candle making classes at www.BathAlchemyLab.com.  And of course, I encourage feedback.

I'd like to say a special thank you to those wonderful people at Bramble Berry.  They helped me get a great start on my class soap making kits and I couldn't be happier.  I always get treated like a queen whenever I shop there.  You all are awesome!

I have several exciting new projects and big reveals coming up in the next couple months.  Now that things are moving along, I will be back to posting on my blog more regularly, too.  I am so glad to share my business news with such a supportive group of people - that would be YOU!  It's nice to work in an industry where we share and grow together, follow each other's progress, and cheer each other on.  Thanks for reading my blog and supporting me over the years!
