Pinterest for Soapmakers

Pinterest is now the third most popular social media outlet after Facebook and Twitter.  Basically, it is a way to organize and share pictures and ideas on anything that interests you.  It's also a great way to network and promote your business, provided you use common social media etiquette.

Here are a couple sites that have some information on using Pinteret to your advantage.

Pinterest Etiquette: 13 Tips to Pin By

For those obsessed with everything soap, it's a new addiction.  I, myself, have spent hours organizing and building my pinterest boards.  I welcome you to follow me or my individual boards.  I have 32 boards organizing over 1,100 pins so far all related to soap and bath and body from layers, swirls and landscapes to recipes, packaging, and craft fair display ideas.  There's tons of inspiration to "soaplift".  Here's a sampling of categories on my account.  You can see my 'database' of soapy inspiration by clicking here.

My soap pins grew to the point that I made a business account for all things soapy and a separate personal account for my many other interests.  If you are into other things like scrapbooking, decorating, historical costumes, all things wooly, and more, then you can follow my personal pins by clicking here.

Bramble Berry started a Pinterest Community Board with members that post about soap.  To check it out, Soapy Pinsters click here.  And there are countless soapmakers, suppliers, and soap enthusiasts you can find to follow as well.

Do you have a pinterest account with some soap and bath and body pins?  Let us know by posting a comment with a link to your account.

  4. Thanks Anne-Marie. I'm definitely addicted to Pinterest. My soap pins took up so much space, I made a separate no soap related account for all my other interests. Lots of fun, and I love your Pinster idea.

  6. You should make the most out of your Pinterest account because this platform gives you an opportunity to showcase your business from a customer's viewpoint. So it's important to create pinboards that have close connections with your brand. Have pinboards that will make your clients appreciate your products or services. Also, provide them something that will create an impact to them and make your business remarkable.

  7. Pinterest allows you to reach out with your customers. All you have to do is to manage it the same way as how you want your customers to view you. Make sure that you always pin something that will make your business closer to them. Remember that customers are drawn to visuals, so pin things that they'll definitely find appealing. However, be sure that these are always related with your product and services for them to identify the kind of business you're trying to establish.

  8. If you want more people to discover your venture, it's really a brilliant idea to expose your business to various social media platforms. Facebook and Twitter aren't the only websites where you can reach out to your customers and potential clients. As time passes by, more and more people are getting acquainted with Pinterest too! Make the best of it.
